人工衛星やソナー（水中音波探知機）もない時代、航海士たちは波のうねりや星の輝き、そして自らの直感だけを頼りに世界の輪郭を地図に描いてきました。アーティストのホリー・ヘンドリーは、古航海図、ウェーブマシン（波動実験モデル）、そして木製のからくり玩具などに着想を得て、エルメスの2026年間テーマ「冒険の呼び声（L’appel du Large）」を新たな物語として再構築します。

Before satellites and sonar, sailors mapped the world by motion, waves, stars, tides, and instinct. This kinetic window display created by Artist Holly Hendry taps into the spirit of Venture beyond (L’appel du large) to reimagine the ancient practice of mapping, presenting navigation as a craft and poetry in pursuit of adventure.

機械的なリズムが刻むのは、創造の鼓動。このダイナミックな航海は「クラフトマンシップ」という確かな手仕事となり、「詩」という表現へと昇華されます。 切手が描かれたスカーフのカレ《フォーブルの切手愛好家》や、鞍のフォルムにインスパイアされて誕生したレザーバッグ《プティ・アルソン》などが舞台の主役。この「ウェーブマシン」は、エルメスのオブジェたちが未知の世界へ飛び出そうとする「冒険」への静かなる瞑想なのです。

It is a meditation on rhythm, creation, and the timeless allure of an adventure, with Hermès objets taking center stage as protagonists of their own stories. A silk carré with a design composed of postage stamps, Le Philateliste du Faubourg, flaps from the mast of a ship instead of a sail. A saddle-inspired leather bag, P&apos;tit Arçon, sits on top of a wooden saddle tree.
