Secrets of GINZA
MAISON HERMÈS

The secret of the sounds
The upper floors of Ginza Maison Hermès are home to an atelier, gallery, and cinema, where various sounds intermingle every day. The 5th-floor atelier fills with the rhythmic sounds of craftspeople plying their trade, from the high-pitched clanking of metal studs to the low whoosh of waxed linen thread passing through leather. The 8th-floor gallery, Le Forum, is an atrium where sound occasionally echoes in unexpected ways, creating mysterious sounds. On the 10th floor is Le Studio, a private cinema perfect for viewers to immerse themselves in the intimate conversations of French and other films.
This month, a special “jukebox” comes to Ginza Maison Hermès as musicians perform live inside the store, providing a real treat for the ear. Come and enjoy the early spring sounds of the ever-bustling store, the cheerful chatter of the tea salon, and the “music” made by the joyful scenes of the city that filter through the glass blocks of Ginza Maison Hermès.
