September’s theme

This month, our theme is “Drawn to Tell”. The first drawing at Hermès was a line of saddle stitching that told a story through a single thread, its intricate design as evocative as a well-crafted tale. Every objet tells a tale unique to the artist, composed with beautiful, striking lines drawn by the human hand. This September, Lanterne Hermès traces the lines and threads that each tell the stories of Hermès.

      Artist

      Shinsuke Kawahara

Kawahara’s work can be found on carrés and petit h objets. We talk about his drawings—and his fondness for rabbits in his art.
